Scott started with motorcycles when he was 10. I was given a Yamaha YB50 in pieces, I rebuilt it and converted it into a scrambler – this was the start of a motorcycle customizing, modifying and riding life.
We first started making motorcycle adventure equipment in 2006 — we were then TrTec Engineering, manufacturing the Backdraft Roadster, a Cobra V8 replica! On our way to the 2006 BMW GS Challenge (see photo below) the bikes were loaded….. this led to the design of Top Racks, Pannier Racks and Bags and so it started. From this Scott Adventure was born in 2014. We try and make practical important parts for most of the new bikes and we cover the popular old bikes such as the KLR & DR650’s. Always willing to make one off parts or prototypes.
At Scott Adventure we have extensive design, fabrication and motorcycle knowledge gathered over the years in both manufacturing and riding. Scott also completed the BMW Adventure Rider Instructors course in 2008 and currently holds Rider Training on the Estate!
Durban 2 Dublin – 2009 was an adventure as well as an excellent platform to develop and test our earlier products.
We do regular tours in South Africa and our neighbouring countries to update, create new and test our products.
